Dr. Paraskevi-Sofia (Evie) Kirana is a psychologist with specialized training in sexology, working mainly in private practice. Since 2008, her daily clinical work has focused solely on the treatment of sexual dysfunctions in men and women. Since 2010, she has lectured in the postgraduate program on psychosexual dysfunctions of Athens, as well as participated in all educational activities of the European Society of Sexual Medicine.


For 8 years, Evie served as the head of the Centre for Sexual and Reproductive Health. She is one of the editors of the EFS-ESSM Syllabus in Clinical Sexology and the ESSM Manual of Sexual Medicine (2nd edition). She has also served as an associate editor of the journal 'Sexual Medicine' and as a member of the editorial board of the 'Journal of Sexual Medicine'. She chaired the ESSM/EFS Exam Committee for psycho-sexologists (2013-2022), participated in the 4th and 5th International Consultation for Sexual Medicine (2015 & 2024), was a member of the European Federation of Sexology (EFS) executive committee (2017-2022), co-chaired the EFS scientific committee (2015-2022), and was a member of the Educational Committee of the European Society for Sexual Medicine (2010-2023).

Currently, Evie chairs the Sexology Subcommittee of the ESSM Scientific Committee. Today, she is committed to International Online Sexology Supervisors (IOSS), which she co-founded in 2019. IOSS is an international digital platform providing continuous education in sexology for professionals by world-class experts.
